Useful information for your holiday

When you receive our booking confirmation, then your booking in the hotel or holiday home is complete (subject to any changes you need to make) 
As a last step to confirm the booking from your side, we need a deposit from you. 

The deposit amount and the terms and conditions relating to the deposit can be found on your booking confirmation.

You can pay for your holiday at the Alpenland hotel or holiday home in cash, with an EC-Cashcard or with a  VISA or MASTERCARD credit card.

Naturally you can also pay the whole amount directly in to our bank account before you arrive.  

Please do not arrive before 2pm on your arrival day, to give us time to have your room and the hotel, completely ready. 
We request that you vacate your room by 10 am at the latest on your day of departure. 

Early arrivals: Please let us know if you are planning to arrive in the morning.

Arriving after 6pm: Please let us know so we can keep your room. 
Arriving after 8pm : We make every effort to make sure that someone is here to give you your key if you keep us informed of delays.

The Salzburger Sportworld Card, that we can provide for free on request is valid during your stay and gives you discounts for various sport and recreational activities throughout Salzburger Sportworld. For instance, you get a discount for Therme Amadé, various swimming pools and lakes, the local history museum, horse-riding, tobogganing or horse-drawn sleigh rides. It also lets you use the hiking bus in summer for just €1 which covers the major hiking start points throughout the region. 

The Sportworld Card is personalised for every guest over 6 years old and can be collected from reception.  

The Alpenland Hotel is a non-smoking hotel, therefore smoking is forbidden in all rooms and hotel areas. 
For those guests that do smoke, ashtrays can be found out at the front of the hotel and on the balconies. 

We look forward to everyone's visit whether it's just an overnight stay or a longer vacation. Naturally our ability to accommodate your request will depend on the season and other bookings. But even in high season with a few exceptions such as New Year or Carnival week it is often possible to book stays of 1-4 nights. In the pre and late season, look out for our special package deals.

Our Pricelist is valid for stays of more than 4 nights. Shorter stays of 1-3 nights are subject to a surcharge.

Shuttle Transfer with Taxi Habersatter

You can book this shuttle service directly with Reisen-Habersatter taxis online. The price per person for a 2-way transfer depends on the number of people but is from € 52.00 for the 2018-2019 season and includes 30 kg of luggage and 1 pair of skis per person. You are delivered right to the door with other guests arriving approximately the same time and staying in the local area. There is also a summer shuttle service when there are at least 4 passengers.

Private Transfers 

If you would prefer a private transfer in a minibus, which can seat up to 8 passengers in your group, then ask either Taxi Schober in Altenmarkt or Taxi Habersatter. A guide price is approx. € 130.00 per bus for 4 people in a taxi for a one-way transfer from Salzburg Airport to Altenmarkt:

These private transfers are subject to a meter and therefore can be subject to minor price alterations. These are only given as a guide, bookings and prices to be arranged by yourself. 

In case of early cancellation, late arrival or early departure, please refer to the Terms and Conditions for Austrian Hotels with the following cancellation scheme:

• Up to 3 months before arrival- no cancellation fee, both parties can cancel;
• Within 3 months 40%, at least 1 month before arrival 70%, and from 1 week before arrival 90% of the booked package

is to be paid if the rooms are not able to be rerented under the same conditions. Sometimes unpredictable things happen, you get ill unexpected and can not come on vacation or have to leave early due to an injury. To protect yourself, we advise you to take travel insurance with cancellation protection.

Visit the website for European travel insurance, where you can book online insurance protection directly with "Hotel Plus" European travel insurance package, which offers comprehensive insurance in the event of cancellation. We provide adult bathrobes for all our Alpenland Hotel guests in the Wellness area which you can use for the duration of your stay for free. Please bring your own flip-flops for use in the Wellness area to avoid slipping. 

Our smallest guest are welcome to use our cots free of charge. Just let us know when you book.

Dogs

Your 4-legged friend is welcome to stay with us if they are pre-booked, and will enjoy a wonderful holiday in the mountains without any additional cost for their masters or mistresses!

Please note that dogs are not allowed in the restaurant or breakfast room.

There's free Wi-Fi in all areas of Hotel Alpenland.

There is free parking right in front of our Hotel for our guests.

Day passes (up to 1 day) are available in all regions and if they are bought here they are valid throughout Salzburg Sportworld (with the exception of Filzmoos and Goldegg). Altenmarkt-Zauchensee and Radstadt also have a 2h card for those looking for a short ski or lunch on the mountain.

Multi-day passes can be used in the entire Ski Amadé ski area, in all of the 5 ski areas, including the Dachstein glacier. The ski passes can be bought on the day or the day before from 3pm, either directly from the base lift stations or from the skipass office at Altenmarkt marketplace. The lift pass is a keycard allowing hands-free lift access, which has € 3 returnable deposit on it which is refunded when the card is returned in good order.  

Discount ski pass
When you book a "ski package"with us, a Ski Amadé ski pass is already included that covers your stay. You will receive a voucher when you arrive that allows you to collect the ski pass at the ticket counter.

Ski amadé's Online-Ticketshop has a clear system that lets you enquire about prices for day passes, multi day passes or even season passes, outlining age groups, season times etc. for this winter season.

MiniCard for Mini's

Kids under 6 that want to ski with their parents who have a full liftpass can ski for free throughout Salzburger Sportworld (except Kleinarl) without a Minicard.

If they are using the baby lifts during lessons or on their own, they will need a pass for those lifts that is cheaper than a full pass. You can also buy a discount MiniCard if they are using the main lifts for lessons. 

The MiniCard is valid for all lifts in Ski amadé and can be bought from the lift base stations. We are happy to answer questions about the MiniCard prices.

Family bonus for families with 3 or more children 

If at least one parent and 2 children or youths buy a standard lift pass, then all younger children get a free lift pass. Proof that the children belong to the parents is required. 

Altenmarkt-Radstadt and Zauchensee have a great selection of ski and snowboard schools, ideal for snow fans whether they are a complete beginner or someone looking to improve. You can also choose between group lessons or private sessions depending on budget and requirement.   
All of the ski schools offer the same price but vary according to location, course times, specialisations etc. 

We recommend that you talk to the ski schools before you arrive to make sure eveything runs smoothly on your first course day and to avoid disappointment if they are fully booked. They can also give you advice on the best option for you without the stress of queues and start times. If you are not booked for the traditional Saturday to Saturday, you will need to ask if it is possible to join the course on a different day.

There are plenty of Ski and Snowboard rental shops in and around Altenmarkt. There also some right at the lift base stations. 

Most offer the family bonus where kids up to 14 years old pay about half te cost compared to adults and if both parents rent full sets then kids under 10 get theirs for free including a helmet. You do not have to book your kit in advance but it can be a good idea especially in high season. You will then know how much it will cost, any special offers and avoid the queues and make sure that you get the kit you want.  

Here are links to all rental shops in town. The shops give you more information and allow online booking if you want. We do not book ski equipment rental. Please note that this region does not rent ski clothing so please organise this before you arrive. 

Intersport Schneider Altenmarkt-Zauchensee - 2 shops in Zauchensee, 1 in Altenmarkt and 1 at Flachauwinkl. You can swap equipment at any of these locations if you have a problem.

Sport 2000 Weitgasser - Altenmarkt - Altenmarkt town centre, it is the shop closest to the hotel.

Sport Art - Altenmarkt, huge shop with all necessary equipment and specialization in ski touring

A really useful service on offer here in Salzburger Sportworld is the Hiking Bus that runs throughout the summer season. It brings you to the start of many hikes and can even carry a few bikes.

It runs, whatever the weather, from approx. end of May to the beginning of October. 

These routes connect the Salzburger Sportworld towns; Altenmarkt-Zauchensee, Flachauwinkl, Eben, Filzmoos, Wagrain, Kleinarl and Radstadt, but not St. Johann/ Alpendorf. You can also visit our neighbouring towns of Untertauern and Obertauern with the hiking bus.

In Altenmarkt-Zauchensee, the bus also stops at the 4 recreational areas that make up the Atomic Vital Parks: Ameisenberg, Altenmarkt-Schlatterberg-Feuersang, Schwemmberg und Zauchensee.

The Salzburger Sportworld Card, the guestcard that we give our guests for free, allows you to use the bus for just €1, kids just €0.50

To get out and about on the wonderful cycling and mountainbiking network in Salzburger Sportworld, around Altenmarkt-Zauchensee, you don't need to bring your own bike, just rent one!

Whether you prefer a citybike, trekking bike, mountainbike or an E-Bike, you can easily find what you are looking for in  Altenmarkt. You can even rent kids' seats. All kids under 14 get to use a helmet for free.
