In a beautiful location up at 1,300 m above sea-level, the Hallinger family welcome you to the Hochnössler-Alm in the twin holiday-paradise of Altenmarkt-Zauchensee. Guests can visit in winter and summer too as individuals or as a group and enjoy a culinary break with friends, family or their work's trip. It is also a great place for celebrations such as birthdays etc.
Getting up there is easy with a car or bus, or if you would like a drink, why not take a taxi. You can even walk or bike up from Altenmarkt on the tarmac road (4km). The guest house and restaurant is right in the middle of the mountain world and the ski area, ideal for hikers and winter sports fans. The spacious sun terrace give wonderful views over Altenmarkt, the valley and the wonderful mountain scenery. The Hochnössler and its country house offer relaxation and an individual type of holiday in summer and in the winter in its 6 comfortable apartments which can accommodate between 2 and 8 people depending which one you choose.
The Hochnössleralm can accommodate up to 20 people in 3 apartments, and the Hallinger country house next door can accommodate another 21 people in another 3 apartments.

Winter Holidays
The Hochnössler, due to its ideal location halfway up the Altenmarkt ski area, is a favourite place to take a break during the winter season, especially as it is right on the ski slope. As well as simple, traditional hut meals or snacks, we serve the austrian favourites. For a special deal, pre-order our pan-cooked meals for groups with all the added extras. During the winter season we have regular Hüttengaudi musical evenings with live music, a chance to dance and fun entertainment for a sociable way to spend a winter evening. To top it all off, why not toboggan back down to the valley right from our door on the floodlit track.

Summer Holidays
Our summer apartment guests love the quiet location and the hiking and biking routes that start right from the door. The hut's own lake promises fun and a refreshing swim on hot days.
The Hochnössler also opens its doors in summer to pre-booked groups or for special celebrations such as birthdays or anniversaries up to wedding celebrations.

Coach trips with entertainment
Guests at the Alpenland Hotel have the ride up to the hut for an evening out organised by the hotel. In winter they can choose to toboggan down, in summer a regular part of the entertainment programme is a from the hotel organised musical evening with hut meals or a barbeque depending on the weather.
